I've spent most of my adult life teaching UNIX, Linux, and/or Perl to Fortune 500 engineers through the company I founded in 1986, Consultix ([2]).

In recent years, I've devoted much of my time to making the terrific -- but unnecessarily complex -- Perl language easier to use for UNIX/Linux people, which led to the birth of my best-selling book, Minimal Perl for UNIX and Linux People ([see http://www.minimalperl.com]).
