Hi I'm Nick. I've only been to one meeting (August) and I'm fairly new to town. I've used Linux since at least '98, I've been a Unix administrator (HP-UX/Solaris) and have experience on other platforms as well such as Mac OS X, BSD, Windows, Netware. Current I work mostly on Windows platforms, cuz that pays the bills, but I have an eye open for Linux projects that I could pick up. I use Mac OS X and SuSE Linux at home. SuSE has just about always been my favorite distro. I have to admit I'm a bit behind on Linux, and I've noticed there are lots of new distros that people like, but I haven't been convinced to switch distros just yet.
I just recently graduated from the University of Idaho with a BS in Computer Science, luckily the coursework there is taught almost exclusively on Unix/Linux. See my really outdated page there.
My interests related to Linux include: OS design, virtualization, administration, HPC (high performance clustering), high availability, etc. Really I'm interested in tons of things, too bad we don't have 72 hour days to learn it all! :).
