I have been using Linux since 1996.. back when Redhat was brand new, and Slackware was the main distro. I wouldn't say I'm an expert. Though I can generally get any system up and running for whatever need you might have.

My main interest in Linux is simply that it doesn't suck as bad as windows, or OSX.. though it does suck in it's own way.. :P

Most of what I do on Linux is graphics stuff. Mostly 3d, but obviously that entails using 2d software, so my line-up is as follows. Blender, Gimp, Inkscape, ffmpeg, Audacity, though there are quite a few others I use less regularly, and I'm also leaving out game engines, because I've used a few. For web I use NVU, Quanta, or just by hand. I suck at programming in general, I just don't like following rules.. and programming is packed full of 'em. I still don't understand why I=$(ls) is not a usable list of names.

Anyway, I do know opensource graphics applications pretty well, so if someone had a question about setting up ICC profiles, or tips on Gimp, or Blender.. I might be able to help..
