Accessibility by car/bus/train/bike...
- Northlake Way between Evanston and Fremont Ave.
- Bus lines: Routes 26, 28, 30 & 31 stop at real 34th & Fremont (above). Route 17 stops at Westlake & Fremont walk across bridge. Routes 5, 16 & 46 stop at 38th. and Bridge Wy. walk down hill half mile.
- The building is adjacent to the Burke-Gilman trail and the Fremont bridge.
Parking (capacity/street/off-street)
Nearby on-street parking and pay lots, residential parking a few blocks away.
All street parking is metered with a 2 hour limit. This makes it necessary to have a mid-meeting break so people can move their cars.
There are ~8 spots directly in front of the building, and more to the west (between the Google office and the Sound Mind and Body gym). There is a pay lot under the Fremont bridge just to the east of the building, and another further to the east which is reachable via Stone way. The pay lots are $5 all day.
For those who don't mind a few blocks walk and don't want to pay, there's generally parking up in the residential areas on Evanston, Dayton, and Francis avenues.
I sometimes park further away i.e. near Gasworks park, where parking is free, and ride my bike the remaining distance on the Burke-Gilman trail. --Delimiter 16:09, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Is the bldg. locked down or other security hurdles?
Meetings can only be held by prior coordination with a Googler who can reserve the room and get Google Security to man the front desk to let folks in (or do it themselves).
